• Recognised public institutions where a topic requires an authoritative reference.
• First-party accommodation information supplied directly by the hostel itself.

Why First-Party Sources Matter

Third-hand summaries of visa rules, passport requirements, baggage policies, or flight change conditions can be out of date within weeks. For anything that determines whether a reader gets on a flight or across a border, we go to the airline, government agency, or transport operator directly rather than to an aggregator or forum. The same applies to airport procedures and transport schedules, which change with little public notice.

Photography Sources

Photographs used in our articles come from real photography by trusted sources, credited where required. We do not use AI-generated imagery for ordinary travel photography in our articles, because a hostel dorm or a station platform should look like the real place, not a generated approximation of one. We do not claim ownership over photographs that belong to someone else, and we credit photographers accordingly.
