Cómo llegar allá

Ytra Lón is situated at road no. 869, 14 km northeast from Þórshöfn. For those who arrive by ferry in Seyðisfjörður, it's just about 3 hours to get here. Take road 917 over the Hellisheiði and you drive the highest mountain pass of Iceland, really very spectacular.
A new road through Melrakkaslétta was recently opened. The new road makes the journey between Þórshöfn, Raufarhöfn and Kópasker considerably shorter, and offers a pleasant circular route around Melrakkaslétta.
