How to get there

C/ Tiña nº 18, Albaicin, Granada

From the bus station or train:
1) Take bus number 3 or 33 to the center - Gran Via, exit at Cathedral stop. From here you may walk or take the minibus 37 to Santa Isabel la Real, Albaicin.

2- A) By minibus: Get it in front of the cathedral and get down at Monastery st. Isabel la Real, Makuto is 50 m down from the monastery.
The shortest way by minibus through Carrera del Darro street is now closed to vehicular traffic, so it may appear that the van is doing a long way and you should think that has passed our bus stop. Do not hesitate to ask the driver to let you know when it's Santa Isabel La Real monastery arrest.

2-B) Walking from the cathedral: When leaving the bus cross Gran Via and take the street Carcel Baja, that departs from Bank La Caixa, cross Calle Elvira and Keep walking towards the street CALDERERIA NUEVA. You will pass several shops and Arab shops. At the end of Nueva Street Caldereria is a church and the street shall be called 'CUESTA DE SAN GREGORIO'. Keep on walking up until you pass a local bar named '4 gatos' (four cats), keep on two more minutes until you reach an impressive Moorish house orange called 'Carmen de la Media Luna'. Important: Turn left there by 'MULADAR of Dona Sancha' and take the first right and Tina (Makuto is the number 18). If you come with heavy luggage, we recommend you come by taxi or minibus since the streets are cobbled stones.

PLEASE NOTE: FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AND MAP BEFORE YOU COME! ALBAYZIN CONVERTED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS VERY EASY TO LOSE YOURSELF!

By car:
From Malaga, take the ring road of Granada (Span.: 'circunvalacion'), and take the exit called Mendez Nunez and continue along the Avenida Fuente Nueva until you reach the Avenida de la Constitucion. There, at the light, go straight on into the Avenida de Madrid and take the
direction of Albayzin-Carretera de Murcia.
From Carretera de Murcia, you enter into the Albayzn through the Pages Street (Calle Pages), continue until you arrive at the Salvador Church (Iglesia del Salvador). Once there, go around the church into the Tomasas Street (Carril de las Tomasas), then take Camino Nuevo de San Nicolas, until you reach at least Santa Isabel la Real.*
You should park in that street. To get to the house by car is not easy and it is difficult to find a place to park.
Calle Tina is just in front of the Monastery Santa Isabel la Real.
*Since the 18th of october the Carril de las Tomasas is going to be closed for maintenance so please leave your car at the Salvador Church area!!

Another option could be: park the car in the parking El Triunfo in the Avenida de la Consitucion. In this case, turn to the right at the light mentioned above into the Avenida de la Constitucion and you will see the parking after a few metres. You continue your way walking up or by taxi.

Important if driving:
The district of the Albayzínn is protected by the UNESCO and the access by car is restricted. You should know that to get into the Calle Pages, you have to do it from 8-11am or 2-8pm. Otherwise the entrance is restricted to residents only. There is no time limit to exit the old district.
