Shevkiye is a wonderful host and has a very comfortable and private annex that she rents out. She takes the time to fill you in on the tragic story of the Crimean Tatars, as well as the inspiring way that they have gone about reclaiming their land and their culture. She brings a different Tatar dish for breakfast every morning and also invites you to join her and her family for dinner. The guesthouse is very convenient for exploring Chufut-Kale and the Uspensky Monastery, and no more than a 20 minute walk to the Khans' Palace. I couldn't recommend Efsane highly enough.

We had a good time in Efsane. The host makes you feel comfortable and treats the guest very well. The breakfast is an interesting experience to taste local food. The location is great to visit the inland of Crimea and Bakhchusaray surroundings.

One negative point : the price proposed by the host was higher than what the internet displayed and I think it is not normal !

We (2 moms and our 9 and 12 year old daughters) stayed there 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. superb location, the owner, Shevkiye speaks english and sent her husband to pick us up at the bus station. the husband also happens to be a guide, and they gave us a tour up the mountains to visit the cave city of tchufut kale.
the B&B is very clean, you can also eat there (home made dinner of course!). The owner is always willing to tell you about the history of her people, the Tatars, who were deported by Stalin in 1943.
+ excellent garden restaurant across the street. (but unfortunately, no alcohol is served)
