Comments (English):
Great building and new, clean rooms. There were only a couple TV channels despite advertisement of satellite. I wish there was some internet connection. Location is such that it is not convenient to walk anywhere. The closest mountain access is within a short driving distance which a driver is available for. The hotel is closest to one of the smaller sections of the mountain unfortunately without transportation to the bigger sections. The staff are incredibly friendly, but they did not speak English like advertised! This was a big frustration since I only speak English and chose the hotel because of this advertisement. We communicated by pointing to an Ukrainian/English dictionary and playing a form of charades. Alex, the point of contact for the hotel, speaks English and was very helpful when my plane was delayed, in helping me figure out the right trains to take and organizing a driver from the train station. But he is not onsite at the hotel...I only wish he or another English speaker were onsite at the hotel to help too. The restaurant is not full service but rather service when needed. I almost did not have dinner because it wasn't clear to me how to indicate I needed food, but after I "communicated" to Yuri, one of the managers (who speaks German at least), that I was hungry, his wife was incredibly kind enough to cook me something just for me. Good place probably for a local, but not ideal for a tourist.
